Whenever you’re packing, you need to ask yourself a few questions. What’s the weather going to be like? Who am I trying to impress (because let’s be honest, if you’re lingering over your sartorial choices, it’s someone)?
For Labor Day week at the Outer Banks, it’s normally mild to warm, perhaps a bit cooler at night. I’m not really trying to impress anyone either. Okay, people at the rest stops. I like to have a cute t-shirt to ride in the car in. Beyond that I pack for comfort!
So, what goes into my American Apparel duffel bag? (As a side note, I’d like to say I’m pleased with how well it’s held up, because honestly, it seems awfully flimsy, but I take it everywhere with me!)
A lot of soft well worn t-shirts (about six), a fistful of underwear, a couple of pairs of shorts and bloomers, a few cover-ups (including my 70s miu miu), some swimsuits, a hoodie and a long sleeve shirt, a canvas bag and a book, and we’re ready to roll!
